Grown in Guatemala at a woman-owned coffee farm
This coffee was grown on a woman-owned coffee farm, a rarity in Guatemala. The farm, Finca de Dios, is located north of Lake Amatitlán in the mountains surrounding the valley where Guatemala City is located. Coffee in Fraijanes is grown at high altitudes: volcanic pumice soil, plenty of rain, and an active volcano characterize the region. Recent volcanic activity from El Volcán Pacaya has deposited ashes rich in minerals and the soils have high concentrations of potassium giving Fraijanes coffees a full-bodied mouth feel. The region has major microclimate influence making it an ideal coffee growing region and giving it a uniquely balanced flavor profile.

My Elevat coffee review. Full disclosure, I am abit of a coffee snob. I buy, blend and grind my own beans. My coffee is fresh ground and brewed every morning. That said, the Guatemalan Elevat coffee was delightful. I blended it at 2/3 my darker roasted and medium dark bean blend, 1/3 Elevat and it added a lighter, sweeter note to my regular morning brew. I then put it to the true test, making french press solely with the Guatemalan Elevat beans....wonderful. I give it 4 out of 5 coffee cups.
