We love our Volunteers!

Here at Elevāt, we believe in giving 100% of our profits back to the artisans in under resourced countries. To do this, we rely 100% on volunteers! We aren’t taking a chunk of the profits for ourselves and passing along a small percentage to our artisans. We exist to offer safe and dignified work to our artisan partners so they can provide for their families and give them better opportunities for a fuller and richer life. In order to do this well, everyone at Elevāt volunteers their time and creative energy as a gift from their heart, not for a wage.

This includes our main team; from L to R, Katie our intern, Deb our operations manager, Juie our founder and buyer, Carmen our social media & marketing manager and Tia, our internship and photoshoot coordinator. These are the ones who do the day to day work for Elevāt. But there are many other dedicated volunteers as well who have been giving their time and talents for years when needed which include Ben, our CFO and Bethany with Bethany Jackson Photography who handles most of our photoshoots.

We have also had numerous interns with us who made a real difference giving fresh perspectives and fun ideas. We have loved their willingness to jump into communication projects, website work and pop-up shows in the local area. While their time with us is limited, their impact is not. Most of these interns came from University of Northwestern-St. Paul and we are so grateful for the professors and advisors who have sent interns our way over the years.

Finally, we have had numerous volunteers who have been models at our photoshoots! Sometimes they are friends of ours, or friends of friends. Often you’ll see familiar faces in various photos because they have participated in numerous shoots over the years. But each one has donated their time to increase the quality of life for our artisans and showcase their handiwork beautifully!

So, whether you have been at one photoshoot, or dedicated yourself to this mission over the years, we appreciate you! We will celebrate our 13th Anniversary this summer and this wouldn’t be possible without the compassionate hearts of our generous volunteers! May each of you be blessed for your loving contributions to help women across the globe you will probably never meet.
