"Tuangaze" means "let's shine" in Kiswahili. Located in the Kawangware slum in Nairobi, Kenya. The members are HIV positive and have formed a community that love and care for one another as the rest of society has basically shunned them, including their families.
Their leader, Margaret, though she is HIV positive herself, teaches them different craft skills so they can make products to sell at the nearby market so they can meet their basic needs; food, shelter and medical care. Their products are made from recycled materials; newspaper, magazines and bone.
