Elevat Fall/Winter Events!

We have a lot of exciting events planned for this fall and winter! We would LOVE to see you at one or all of them!

Our first event coming up quick (Sunday, Sept. 8th; 4-6pm) is our “Tapas with Elevat” fundraising open house. We will have numerous types of tapas, “small plates,” to nibble along with Sangria (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) while you enjoy the music of Grey Tison (piano) and Kirsten Slyter (cello) and browse our silent auction of fashion accessory prototypes we will be teaching the North African refugees in Malaga, Spain. We will be helping create a woman’s cooperative and teaching skills they can use to bring their handmade products to the US marketplace. At the event, we will have a short program around 5pm to share our plans with you. The showroom will be open for you to shop and our “Loving our Global Neighbors” Tshirts will be on display. Donations will be warmly accepted.

The next weekend, we will be setting up a table at a fun event of “Blues & Brats” in Hudson. If you are in the area, stop by and enjoy great music and good food and check out our new, beautiful jewelry from South Africa!

On Oct. 5th, we will be organizing and participating in the 5th annual Autumn Arts & Crafts Fair in Shoreview. This year will be bigger and better than ever and will also be the inaugural launch of THE FAIR TRADE ROAD, a new fair trade initiative in the Twin Cities and beyond. There will be several fair trade vendors representing disadvantaged artisans across the globe as well as local artisans selling unique items made with love. Coffee, bakery goods, BBQ sliders and more will also be available. Come on out!

Oct. 7-17th follow along with us on Instagram and Facebook as we travel to Spain and help start a woman’s cooperative at a refugee center. We will also welcome all your positive thoughts and prayers as we travel and love on these women, teaching sewing and jewelry making skills.

Nov. 2nd you will find as at THE WORLD JUBILEE-Fair Trade Market from 9am-4pm at Colonial Church in Edina. There are so many wonderful fair trade vendors at this event representing artisans from all over the globe. You are sure to find something unique and wonderful.

The following weekend, we will be at the Eau Claire Global market on Saturday, Nov. 9th from 9am-4pm in Wisconsin. If you are in the area, you will want to put this event on your calendar. It’s hosted by the First Congregational UCC church at 310 Broadway St.

Nov. 23rd, find us at the Stillwater First Presbyterian Fair Trade Market from 10-4 and the 24th from 11-2, 6201 N Osgood Ave.

Then, on SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY, Nov. 30th from 10-2, we’ll have our second annual Christmas Showroom Open house! This event allows us to showcase all the wonderful global goodies we have that make wonderful Christmas gifts for loved ones when something ordinary just won’t do. Get out and support small business, local and global artisans.

There may be other events not scheduled yet for the holiday season, but we hope you will find us out and about in the Twin Cities! As always, you can shop online as well. Thank you for empowering women with your purchases this fall and winter.
